OUR INFANT PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Neighborhood Kids accepts infants for enrollment at 2 month of age. We offer full- and part-time programs to fit the needs of each family. Parents are encouraged to visit us, meet the teachers and see the surroundings before enrolling.

Our program focuses on all areas of development including social and emotional, cognitive, physical and language. Through hands-on activities, love and laughter we encourage babies to explore and experience their environment. We provide a wide variety of activities to meet the individual developmental needs of our infants. Story time, songs, finger plays, sensory experiences, engaging in floor play and tummy time are all ways we expand their imagination and lay the groundwork for future learning by building their brain connections.

To keep you informed of your child's daily experiences, we provide daily reports and are available for phone conferences throughout the day. Internet viewing is available once your child is enrolled at Neighborhood Kids.

STATE-APPROVED VPK PROGRAM

Neighborhood Kids is a state-approved VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Program. To be eligible, children must live in Florida and be four years old on or before September 1 of the current school year. If a child's fourth birthday falls in between February 2 through September 1 in a calendar year, parents can postpone enrolling their child in VPK that year and wait until the following year when their child is five.

Neighborhood Kids offers free and wraparound care to all of our VPK students.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS

To enroll, the parent must visit the online registration site, floridaearlylearning.com to complete an application, which includes age and residence verification. Once the parent has their emailed certificate, they may visit any participating VPK provider to enroll their child in VPK . If your child is already enrolled at Neighborhood Kids, we will save your child's space for VPK registration.

Parents of children who are not already enrolled in the VPK school of their choice may want to get their certificate immediately. This could help secure a space in your first choice of VPK schools. Neighborhood Kids uses the state of Florida's four-year-old standards to develop activities to promote the acquisition of skills and knowledge to ensure children are well prepared for kindergarten.

At Neighborhood Kids, conferences may be scheduled at your convenience. Our classroom intercoms make teachers available for a phone conference during the day. Internet viewing of the classroom is also available.

Tell your friends neighbors and coworkers about VPK! If you need any assistance please call Neighborhood Kids Preschool at 954-748-4409. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
