TODDLERS

About Our Toddlers

At Neighborhood Kids, children aged 12 months - 36 months are enrolled in our toddler program. We separate them by age 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 24-30 months and 30-36 months. We also use developmental standards to assure children are placed in the appropriate group. We have an open door policy and encourage families to visit the classroom and teachers so that everyone is familiar and comfortable when children are enrolling.

Lesson plans are posted in the classroom and children are encouraged throughout each day to participate in language, gross and fine motor, sensory, creative, dramatic play and block activities. This structured learning plan is designed to meet your child's developmental needs. We offer hands on projects which help stimulate the toddler mind in a safe, nurturing and fun atmosphere. Outdoor play is incorporated into the daily schedule in the morning and the afternoon. Our staff understands that toddlers may difficulty separating and support their emotional needs with lots of attention, hugs and love and by helping them develop bonds with the staff and their classmates.

To keep you informed of your child's daily experiences we provide daily reports and are available for phone conferences throughout the day. Internet viewing of the classroom is available once you child is enrolled at Neighborhood Kids.
